John’s focus on implementing the particulars is complimented by a refined ability to think and plan globally through sound strategy development – creating a productive balance for client success time and time again.
John honed his skills and developed his auditor-type approach through a successful tenure of nearly 12 years as head of government and regulatory affairs for the Michigan Association of CPAs. Seeking new and greater challenges, John joined PAA in 2013.
In addition to policy expertise in occupational regulation and licensing, taxation, and financial issues, John excels at association management, including such functions as PAC marketing, fundraising, and strategic budgeting; grassroots planning and implementation; and member/stakeholder communication.
A native of mid-Michigan, John and his wife Ann Marie are both avid Spartans and live in Holt with their daughter, Abby. When not engaged with clients, John spends as much time as possible on his boat or with his family and friends enjoying Michigan’s beautiful outdoor campgrounds and wilderness and exploring her magnificent inland lakes and beaches.
