Every organization claims to be ethical, but words and deeds do not always jibe. How do you assess the real Ethics of an organization?  What are the key factors and behaviors to be aware of? Many organizations lack prescriptive policies, but is that an excuse to deviate from the spirit of doing the right thing?

How can professionals abuse ‘what is right’ and circumvent policies for their personal benefit. What are some egregious examples of violating policies? How allowing exceptions invites abuse. This seminar outlines steps to gauge the ethics of an organization.

Visual Risk IQ is a Tableau Alliance partner and Microsoft PowerBI partner and brings a repeatable approach to enabling finance and audit teams build and develop sustainable, in-house analytics programs.  

Joe has more than twenty-five years of experience in internal auditing, fraud detection, and forensics, including ten years of Big Four assurance and risk advisory services. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor and a past president and Board Member of the Charlotte IIA Chapter. He earned his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Don Minges, MBA, is a fractional CFO who works in diverse industries at various development stages.  His expertise is in profitability enhancement, strategic planning, venture capital, mergers & acquisitions, consulting, turnarounds, economic forecasting, cost accounting and financial analysis.  Don has experience raising equity for several growing firms and has invested equity capital into promising businesses.  He has served on the Board of Directors for many firms.  He graduated with highest honors from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke.
